AP DSC 2013 announces Job Bonanza

AP DSC 2013 (District Selection Committee 2013) has issued notification for taking up recruitment for more than 20,000 teachers in broad categories like Language Pandits (LP), Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT), School Assistant Languages (SA) across the schools in the state.

Interested candidates who seek to get into government services can obtain the application form from the AP DSC’s official website ( www.dseap.gov.in) . As per the AP DSC Notification , the applications will be made available from 1st Aug, 2013 and 30th September, 2013 has been set as the deadline for receiving applications from students.

Candidates shall be allowed to download their AP DSC Admit Card 2013 prior to the commencement of the exam. The AP DSC Officials have informed the press that information pertaining to the exam centers, roll numbers, and timings will be announced later.

The break-up details of district-wise posts list of vacancies, fee payment details, and submission of application date, syllabuses are as follows:

SGT Posts: 16,287

School Assistants: 2,530

Language Pandits: 1,425

PET: 264

P.D: 02

APDSC Exam New Syllabus:

The pattern of written test in AP DSC 2013 comprises 250 questions from TET and DSC new syllabus. TERT is a combination of TET and DSC syllabus.

SGT and Alike Cadre: Interested candidates, who are going to take part in SGT and Alike Cadre, will have to take part in TERT Paper – I Exam. This paper is framed with 250 questions and each question carries 1 mark, taking the total answers to 250. The duration of the Exam is 3 hours. While Paper-I contains 3 subjects and Paper-II consists of 4 subjects.

School Assistants and Alike Cadre: Those who opt for School Assistants and Alike, need to attend for TERT Paper –II Exam. Candidates who are placed under General Category have to secure a minimum of 60% marks (150/210) to be able to progress into TERT Paper-II. In the case of BC Category students, the minimum score of marks is 50% marks (125/250) and ST/SC/PH candidates will have to obtain at least 40% marks (100/250) to qualify for the TERT Paper-II.

The subject-wise section and marks in AP DSC 2013 are as follows:


  • Child Development and Pedagogical Concerns – 30 Marks
  • General English – 15 Marks
  • General Telugu – 15 Marks

Total Marks      –  60 Marks

Part – II:

  • Content (Subject) – 55 Marks
  • Methodology – 20 Marks
  • Perspectives in Education (PE) – 10 Marks
  • General Knowledge and Current Affairs – 15 Marks ; Total – 150 Marks

Admission Criteria

Candidates with B.Ed background and those who have cleared Teachers’ Ability Test (TET) are only eligible to appear for the examination.

The AP State Commissioner and Director of School Education have taken up the responsibility of conducting the recruitment process to recruit different grade teachers’ posts
