TS DSC 2024 Exams to Begin Tomorrow
Overview:
- The Telangana government is set to commence the District Selection Committee (DSC) exams on Thursday, July 18, 2024.
- Despite requests for deferment from job aspirants, the state government has decided to proceed with the TS DSC 2024 examinations.
Hall Ticket Information:
- Candidates who have not received their hall tickets can download them from the official online portal: TS DSC Portal.
- Hall tickets can be accessed by entering the login credentials.
Examination Details:
- The teacher recruitment tests will be held from July 18 to August 5.
- Examination centres are located in Hyderabad, Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, and Medak districts.
- The test format is an online Computer Based Test (CBT).
- The question paper is out of 100 marks:
- 80 marks from DSC
- 20 marks from Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)
Vacancies and Applications:
- A total of 2,79,957 candidates applied for 11,062 vacant teacher posts.
- The DSC aims to fill positions for Secondary Grade Teachers and School Assistants in local body schools.
Historical Context:
- The first DSC notification was issued in July 2017 after the formation of the new Telangana state.
- This is the second teacher recruitment exam since then, with the notification issued on February 29 this year.
Examination Schedule and Requirements:
- Morning session: Report by 7:30 am, entry closes at 8:45 am.
- Afternoon session: Report by 12:30 pm, entry closes at 1:45 pm.
- Candidates must carry:
- Black/blue pen
- Hall ticket
- Valid photo identity card
